Hessen has much limitation on a shipment locations.
Anybody know where do they get their stuff from?
Or how to appeal to their conscience?

Re: www.hessenantique.com
A large part of their selection is from Ant-Z, which is now out of the reenacting repro market, so onece it is gone it will not be restocked. They also stock Sturm, as do many other vendors. As to appealing to their better nature, I don't think you can. Most vendors have what they think are very good reasons for restricting shipping, and I don't know of any who will change for the sake of one customer. Some Ant-Z stuff is still avalible from Man The Line here in the US, http://www.mantheline.com/index.php , and I think there is a vendor in Europe that has some stuff left.

I've never had any problems with Hessen.

I guess the sturm's one is the same the zib got. Zib answered it is made 70% of wool. And 30% of what?! I supposed it should be 100% wool. Am I right?

Re: www.hessenantique.com
From Brian L Davis book "German Army Uniforms and Insignia",prior to 1935 uniforms were made from all wool cloth.in 1935 cloth was made from wool with five per cent rayon added (man made fibre),later this increased to twenty per cent and during the was rose as high as sixtyfive per cent,by 1943 about ninety per cent of cloth was made with wool waste.
Rayon is a very early man made fibre,in fact the shop I worked for in 1970 still stocked high waisted button fly trousers with turn ups (for the older gentleman) which were made from one hundred per cent Rayon, they used to crease up like dish rags but they were cheap.John

It could be due to lighting, this is an 'Erel' cap made in germany, the tricot colour is usually good, quality wise they are not too bad,I've had two caps myself but I sold them on as I prefer 'Janke' made caps.

Re: www.hessenantique.com
I have a panzerwrap wool tunic from Hessian antique..(the black SS one listed for $105.00 )fits well, made well..but nothing ive seen tops the leather panzerwrap jackets from the history bunker ltd in England. Comes with majors shoulderboards with artillery waffenfarb. The liner is classy too. Redish orange rayon. i like it so much i wear it sans insignia all the time. Im going to order a second for reenacting that i will have insignia on. Need a good tailor who works with leather.
