The prints are really awesome, there’s only one problem… Steve has sent me the two smocks in XL size when in the order was stated clearly L size. They are far too big, I have not noticed until I put one of them, it was strangely big to be an L then I compared my SMW Palmtree L size with the new one here is the result: :?

Image
I have to eat a lot of fast food to fit properly inside this smock.

Look at the size of the neck opening.

I have sent him a email; let’s see what is his reply.. :?: :?:

Nope! It fits me still bigger.

by the way, nice picture it seems he is using the drillich under the smock and a rope to carry the ammo boxes, no Y straps so I suppose the pic. it's from the French Campaign.

Yes nice pic, it says 1941, maybe early Barbarossa, unless the pic caption is wrong :?:

I would not have any problem to put an elastic in the neck if it was a cheap smock from China, but there are two smocks of 300 $ and for that money I hope that Steve send me exactly what I asked for. I'm sure he will give me soon a satisfactory solution to the issue.

By the way, showing me that picture you have added antother book to my already looong wishlist :) , I believe Schiffer has made an edition.

I believe it's France, because in Barbarossa the Y straps were in wide distribution, but a more important detail it's the way he is carrying the gas cape bag, in Barbarossa you saw almos all the soldiers with the gas cape bags attached with a strap to the gasmask tin. The way he is carrying it it's typical from early war in Poland and France

Well, typical for regulations. The fact that they often moved it to the gas canister was strictly forbidden throughout the war! The reason why you tend to see gas capes being worn on the canister, once in the field, is that it gets in the way.
