I saw this posted on another forum and in my opinion I believe it to be a crude copy of a tropical helmet shield opinions please. Here are the links to the badge

Yeah, a badly cast copy, I had a tropical helmet years ago, the shields on it were die struct.

That was my impression as well that it is a crude repro copy. They would never have made anything as crude as that if it wasn't a hollow backed stamped one the back side would be finished much better than that. Appears to be a lead crude casting. The guy is asking 65$US for it pity the sucker that buys it

Yup he is asking 65 bucks US plus 2 bucks shipping swears it's an original as it came in a box of medals and badges from a collector. Same old story has to be real as it came with ...... yadda yadda yadda how many times have we heard that story or the one that says well it came from a vet
