both, depends on the shade!

Have a look here for a rough idea http://www.deutschesoldaten.com (choose the waffenfarbe link on the left), and also the Brian L Davies book Uniforms and Insignia of the German Army, though the latter does contain a few errors.

In my opinion these boards are for transport the blue piping for a sani is much darker than these boards

Do nebelwerfer units count as Bordeaux red then? (I notice smoke troops included with them).

That is correct but Nebelwerfer troops usually ended up wearing the red of the Artillery...... As with most things German it was all very confused and the troops ended up using whatever was issued (both in terms of waffenfarbe and armament)

Bugger, so I've wasted $5 on bordeaux red litzen and £12 on shoulder boards to convert and I could have blagged it with red.....Bugger
Still, I got the trade patch for Nebel so better to get the colours right? An example of what should have been.
