Just pop down to your local CO-OP and ask them to measure you up for a coffin ;)

Scour t'interweb for photos - you'll find the ones used in Berlin and outside kaserne were of a standard size and construction. Ones made locally and 'in the field' varied tremendously in style, size and shape. In some cases I'm sure the boxes are actually outside toilets from dwellings with a splash of paint.

Easiest way to sort out the sizes is to find one with someone next to him. Work on the assumption he is around 5'9" and scale it off from there. Paint colors are black, white and red with a black roof (certainly all the colour photos I've seen in Signal etc. are like this).

Do ww2 sentry/guard box follow the same design as the ones in ww1.

Anyone ever come up with a set of construction plans and a materials list?

I based my box on the one in the 1969 film battle of Britain.
Take the tallest person in your unit as the sample height.
Some made with t and g timber, some not, roof, somewhat flat and not double 45' drop. wooden floor, old floorboards, spy hole at side and back, shelf for paperwork, clip board(s) as well.
also look here as a start
https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid ... ntry%20box
starting a new box next week. Bolt it together with hidden clasp nuts, not necessarily that size.

use frog tape for paint colour sections as its re useable order from the top is black, white red, angle to suite box but normally double 45' paint with gloss paint and finish with clear matt top coat. there is somewhere on the neta plan, I cant find it, the plans for a box, but as Dave has said, outside Berlin it was up to the unit carpenter to make the box and therefore virtually everyone was different.
