Mainly motorcycles (solo and combination), light cars and 2 &3 tonne trucks. Buses were requisitioned as were civilian cars. For example for a Feldgendarmerie Trupp type 'b' (such as we represent), the correct allocation was 12 solo motorcycles, 4 combinations, 14 light cars and 1 medium class truck (1,5t or 2t). In early 44 the truck allocation was increased to three 3t.

In areas where partisan/resistance activity was particularly heavy, obsolete armoured cars were deployed to ewscort convoys. The Panhard 178 was popular, but they were mainly used by the OrPo. The older 6 rad vehicles were withdrawn from driver training schools and deployed, as were the even older Kfz 13s. Captured vehicles were also used, and I have spoken to a veteran who was issued with a Daimler 'Dingo' scout car, captured at Dieppe (I did replicate this once upon a long, long time ago..!).

I have access to a large amount on records and info on the FG, I can work out what type was allocated to your division etc. and what the manpower/equipment allocatuion would have been. Let me know and I'll pull it all out.

I know that the Zundapp KS600 with "Autobahn-Kardan" was very popular with Feldgendarmerie. I have been told that this machine was the fastest Wehrmacht had (150km/h) and it was also used by dispatch riders.

Heres a photo of my "Feldgendarmerie" vehicle

I actually need help finding out what tactical symbols to place on it.

I already have the plans for the WH license plate.

I believe we have decided on FG trupp 708.

Correct me if Im in-correct, I believe they were on of the Feldgendarmerie trupp's that worked closely with the 360. Kosaken Grenadier regiment.

If anyone could possibly add to or provide any information in regards to what markings I can place on the front, back or side of my car, I would greatly appreciate it!

The car would be used as an officer der Feldgendarmerie staff car.

Thank you all!

Markings will depend on whether you are opting for a pre 43 or post 43 as the tactical symbol changed for the FG.

FG Trupp 708 was assigned to 708 Infantry Division, so it would depend on their Divisional history to a larger extent.

Cars of that type were used as generic requisitioned feldgendarmerie vehicles for streifendienst duties. It wasn't uncommon to attach a sign to the front bumper displaying the word 'feldgendarmerie'.

We are going for a pre 1943 impression.

Thank you for the advice!
