too the best of my knowledge there were no other means of identifcation except for the gorget. early war had the luft eagle, late war had the army eagle.
Having said that, there is a pic in Osprey with a luftwaffe officer, plate F2 which shows an officer, Hauptmann, Feldgendarmerie, Hermann Goring Korps 1944-1945, the collar tabs are white while the shoulderboards are white with police orange underlay. "From page 44 Photographs of the Luftwaffe Feldgendarmerie are rare, but do indicate that dress generally followed that of the LW field units. This Hauptmann of the MP's in the HG Corps wears LW Officers Scirmmutze and 4 pocket tunic, with field blue and other ranks trousers and ankle boots with army gators. CP are white for the HG and the Waffenfarbe appearing only in the underlay to the Shoulder straps. An experienced front line officer, he wears the LW GC badge and the wound badge in silver"
Hear say has had mixed reception to the picture from a definite No to yes maybe. Unfortuneatly Osprey have a habit of getting info wrong. When researching Luftwaffe GFP the info in the book was wrong. This was corrected when i met (who now is a personal friend) a german re enactor based here in the UK.

well all the pics i found so far show fallshy kit with the gorget, not seen the bandolier, just belts and pouches like lufty felddivision troops, so it seems it is a mix of fallshy and luft ground equipment based on what you have found and I have found, which is good.

does any one know of any books/websites that would have the unit information for lufty feldgendarm, and from what I have seen the fallshy kit is the only one shown being used by lufty feldgendarm, were they resposnsible for all Lufty field units or did the lufty field units have there own, I ask because I want to know if I can use army/lufty ground kit aswell as my fallshy

if your impression is late war, then anything went, nothing matched generally for the Luftwaffe whether ground troops or FG. this info is from a FG vet

ah ok thanks, jus wondering if I can get an army/lufty smock rather than an expensive para smock etc... fallshy stuff is rather pricey these days, also is the rank system the luftwaffe one as the fallshy one is different slightly.
