Y-Strap use among the FG

Hello all,

I was wondering if the FG wore the standard infantry y-straps, or the lightweight "FJ" y-straps?

Thanks for any help.

They were issued infantry Y straps as part of their basic equipment. The only thing you don't see the FG wearing are the A frames.

This makes a lot of sense given their duties, but what is your opinion of strapping an A-Frame and gear in the below manner to a bike? From a common sense aspect it seems plausible because it makes securing items to your bike alot easier, but some actual reference material would be best. Looking for any photo reference of mounted FG actually.

Like a lot of the kit, they were issued but not very commonly worn (evidenced in original FG soldbucher).
