Fallschrimjaeger feldgendarmerie

Post by adamgrossdeutschland »

I thought id put this in the fg section because it is to do with military police. I am going to be doing fj military police and I just need some advice, anyone know anything about equipment. I have got all the main equipment, smock and helmet, but does anyone know of any other things i need. I also need to know should i get a infantry gorget or a lufftwaffe gorget of sof as i have seen allot of original photographs with the fj military police wearing infantry gorgets. Any advice would be helpful thanks adam.

WH gorget seems to more common in photos than the LW variant, at least in photos I've seen. Probably the usual 'get whatever is available' approach apparent in most military organisations.

Either would suffice.

In the LW FG photos I have, the army style outnumbers the LW style by almost 3:1. There is no logical pattern of issue, and it's virtually impossible to say 'this unit had that type'.

Either style would be perfectly correct as there is strong photo graphic evidence to support it one way or the other.

Being that there were units from the army and LW in the Fallschrimjaeger I would say you should decide which you wanted to do and go from there. As Dave said the LW were odd ducks as there werent that many of them.

Aloha Gentlemen,

i think the Fallschirnjägerpanzerkorps "Hermann Göring" only ,wear the Gorget with the Air Force Eagle inside?
All other Units of Herr and Luftwaffe use the Standarf FG Gorget.

Not quite - there is evidence of non HG LW troops using the LW pattern gorget as well as the army pattern. It may be possible that the HG feldgendarmen used only the LW pattern gorget, but without further research it would be impossible to confirm or deny this assertion.

Aloha,

well i had only see pictures from where the HG-Feldgd.trupp wear the "Air Force" Eagle Gorget. On all other Luftwaffen pictures with Felgendarms i had seen that they wear the Standard WH Gorget in Duty.
