We were using hob-nailed boots. To be honest, they where quite easy to wear. Even on rock, they had a good adherence. We didn't have to do difficult climbing. We'll test them an other time
The rest of the equipment was all periode also!

When I'm back from the War & Peace Show, I'll try to sumerize the equipment tht we used and what could be changed in order to carry less weight.
Patrick: if you get someone yo do the 2-pockets annoraks, we're interested also!

Refeerening to Franz photo, the windblusen shown, look quite similar than the snow smock of the brits. You can find it at SOF. I got it and, despite it is a bit too thick, it looks good.

An other one:
"Gefechte besonerer Art" (1937). It has a part dedicated to "Gefecht im Gebirge"
