there's nothing like hot authentic chow at an event. If you have the pleasure of having one at an event, oh you bet your ass it will be heavily guarded.

Re: Thoughts on splinter parka from Hessen Antique.
actually I'm asking about the splinter parka in the wehrmacht uniforms section it's next to the tan and water parka price $90. Just to clarify again, I'm refering to the winter splinter parka.

Thoughts on splinter parka from Hessen Antique.
Could this be used for a fallschirmjager impression? It doesn't seem to resemble splinter a in that the green polygonal areas are not as big as splinter a but the pattern/color seems to be a bit off. The center area seems to be a bit puffy also. I know there are other places to get better ones, tryi...

Re: Photos of my past reenactments
the fabric really does make a difference. My smwholesale blurred smock that I have had for five years running is just beginning to fade nicely. This is after many three-four day events in all types of weather conditions and seasons, I have even let people borrow it when I can't make an event just to...

Re: If doing a Battle of the Bulge event, What would you wear?
That's what I was thinking with the parka set. Great if standing around or limited activity. I'm probabily going to go with jump pants, jump boots, splinter b type 2 smock and helmet with netting.

Re: If doing a Battle of the Bulge event, What would you wear?
A friend of mine was wondering if the fj were issued just the feldblau mantel or if they could have also ended up with a feldgrau m36 40 or 42? I am leaning towards the feldblau since it's the norm but anythings possible.

Re: If doing a Battle of the Bulge event, What would you wear?
I will be partaking in a Battle of the Bulge reenactment soon and it's going to be cold out, I'm talking actual weather conditions as it was during the actual battle. I'm tempted to go the layers under the jumpsmock route but the parka set is tempting but heavier. What would people like to see more ...
