Re: Waffenfarben
What unit are you wanting to represent? If it's infantry, it's white.

Re: whats the best repro WEB Y-STRAPS - 1944 militaria or At
I have some ATF ones as well. I think they are way better than 1944's. ATF made the web fabric in various shades too. I don't see anything wrong with the color, stitching or back strap.
ATF has plenty of detailed photos on the website, mine aren't going to be any different.

ATF has the best breakdown of the Plane Tree manufacturing process.

By the end of the war, anything was possible, but it wouldn't be common by any means.

Re: German marchboots
My biggest suggestion is that you don't go cheap on footwear. You'll only end up having to replace them in the future and spend more money in the long run than you would have on a good pair of boots the first go around. I have Lederarsenal lows and jacks, and IMO they're the best boot money can buy,...

Re: [Photoshoot] Männer gegen Panzer
I love the pic of the Unteroffizier with the RK. I've never seen that in a reenactment before, but it's entirely appropriate. Well done.

Re: M40/41 6 Button tunic
The buttons on the inside of the collar are for the Kragenbinde. It buttons to those to keep the collar clean and protect the neck from chafing. Nothing GJ related on that uniform.

I've seen them in person, all of the new uniforms have chest darts. Even the SS ones.

Re: Rockford 2014
How many SS soldiers were below 5'10 in height, and wore glasses into battle? The answer is zero. Don't agree with that, quite a bunch actually. Rockford isn't even close to Conneaut in terms of size. I definitely agree with this though. Rockford can't claim to be the biggest event anymore. Conneau...

Re: Rockford 2014
I didn't attend for the first time in 8 years this year. I will say a buddy got married this past weekend, so I had to be at that, but over the past couple years I've seen this event really decline in how they treat reenactors. I'll probably not be attending in the future.

Re: Pea Dot Uniform
I would also suggest the first thing you need to do before you worry about what to get, is to join a unit. I'd hate for you to buy something, then find out that it's not up to par with that unit's standards. Also, once you join a unit, you can usually buy used gear from guys for a good price. You'll...

I didn't say put it in hot water, just get it wet. Although a little shrinking couldn't hurt.

Re: Oak Leaf cover
Your doubts are correct about the quality of the cover. Any of the Hessen SS camo is cheap chinese junk. The cover is too big for the helmet in the first place, but the pattern could also be flawed from the get go. You're better off getting a quality cover from one of the better camo suppliers. One ...
