Re: Advice request; Basic Webbing, Mid-Late War Panzergrenadier
You see a mix of tropical and leather gear till the end of the war, however Leather pieces vastly outnumbered webbing stuff at any time, so I feel it is the most accurate to put a mix of 2 or so pieces of webbing gear with the rest being leather. Is this gospel? No, But a well researched educated co...

Re: DAK shirt supplier suggestions
Lost battalions has a good pattern for these, but the shirts themselves are made of 60% polyester and refuse to wear in. one of the guys wore his as a work/sleep shirt for a month to wear it in, and the only difference shown is the paint missing from the buttons. it refuses to wrinkle and or fade. S...

Re: Best sturmgewehr pouches?
The prewar flyer's association that I speak of is a paramilitary organization. The existence of blue LW canteens in any small numbers what so ever is arguable at best.

Re: Heer gaitors from SoF
Not that the rucksack in question shares any traits with the Bundeswehr gamaschen fabric. I'm not sure what that was supposed to prove. Come on guys, are we really arguing over the validity of a 5 dollar item? The likes of which almost everybody in the hobby knows is wrong? I believe everyone in thi...

Re: Best sturmgewehr pouches?
The Blue Canteen for Luftwaffe is a myth. The blue canteens were made by the post war Berlin poliezi, a prewar flyers association, and marine HJ.

Re: Show us you!
The statement about soldbuch grid checks is false, True they were not the most common, but they are just as correct with then than without them. The grid checks are more common in late war heer soldbucher.

Re: Heer gaitors from SoF
Correct. that is a Polizei Breadbag, and a very interesting one at that. I have never seen one with such color variation in the fabric. Thomas, is that how it left the factory, or is it a field repaired piece? Marc (That "sea foam green" is what I was referring too as Polizei gamaschen col...

Re: Heer gaitors from SoF
the ones in the picture from wephaus look like crap, however I believe this to be a product of bad photography. I have handled these gaitors 1st hand and can 100% say they are good. 3 hole and all.
