Hi
I got some straps to attach a Zeltbahn to the mounts of a truppenfahrrad.
What surprised me is that they have two buckles per strap. I can't see does anything to lengthen or shorten the strap, Is this to attach two different objects to the If so, what?
Thanks!

Re: luger shoulder holster
From what I can remember, the consensus on a luger forum is that these are totally made up. I have never read about a shoulder holster being worn or seen a shoulder holster worn in photos. IMA has some ok stuff, but I suspect this is made up to look cool. If you want this for WW2, I would approach i...

helmet covers
I just received a nice helmet cover from Panther works. I like their gear, and thought a FJ cover would be great. As I expected, it is well made, espcially the pattern of splinter B. It has a wide fabric band rather than a HBT, and the same kind of material on the top as a cross. What surprised me i...

Re: Helmet re painted but !!!into the appropmate
I share your pain! I find putting the texture on to be tough- it either gathers in a large amount, and then other areas are bare or very sparse. When I even it out, the texture looks too textured. I found putting an approximate amount of paint and texture for a helmet in a small can, and then stippl...

rero grenade launcher
I reentry came across one of these. Seems high quality. I have ordered some booklets, but in case they arrive and don't answer my question- Why is the cup in two parts? It needs to be tightened before use, dense the wrench which comes with it. How tight does it need to be? Why make it in two parts? ...

Re: German blue/white checked bed linens
Thanks for the help.
If it doesn't pan out, I plan to sleep totally naked on the bed, and sooner of later, some one will throw a correct sheet just to hide me.

I am sure there are some for sale out there, but so far, every place I have looked is out. they aalso say- not sure if they will ever get more.
Anyone have an idea where I can find a set, and/or interested in selling any extra?
Patrick
In USA, but would buy from any place!

chain for pocket watch loop/ring
I have noticed over the years, many original trousers, (German army, air force)have either a small metal ring on the right hand side, under the trouser waistband, or sometimes a small loop (?) of fabric in the same place so that the pocket watch chain can be secured. none of my repro trousers have t...

I am about 5'7", 40 inch chest, 32-34 waist, inseam about 30". Sorry, I use metric but not for clothing size as no one uses it here in the advanced land of USA. I can photograph but will need to send by AOL I think as this forum is rejecting my photos from my cell phone. Price I am no long...

Re: WW1 German field equipment / WW2 Finnish items
I am thinking of selling all my Finnish stuff. Most are post war, but seem very close to war time gear and uniforms. PM me if you are interested. a canteen, haversack, rucksack, cartridge pouch (1920 finn, and ww12 german) medic gear, summer tunic, breeches, boots, (actually wacht battalion German p...

Re: Stitch dyeing
I agree- buy it used if possible, wear it correctly, let it aqe itself. I can't see why repro gear should look 70+ years old unless one is using it on a manikin as a filler to replace something one can not get. If we are at an airshow, I usually polish and clean. If it is a tactical event, I try to ...

Re: Non standard FJ uniform and gear
I just noticed these pictures. What I love is how many versions of a uniform there are in the pictures. From my two military services (US navy and US Air Force) unless there was an absolutely required uniform, there were many days that we were about this varied. We used to say that with 8 Airmen in ...
