Re: German helmet question
Yep.. Hoffmann is right. A friend of mine just drilled the holes and added a repro liner. A lot better then any repros.

Re: Jail sentence for dealer
Here you have to import deact weapons as firing. Then they have to be cut in 2 pieces lengthwise, except the stock. Then you have to get a dispensation from the justice department, and they are not easy to get...!

Re: Public Health Warning - Beware German Re-enactors !!!
I don't see offending people as a part of re-enactment, we just re-enact a period of extreme hatred. Some will be offended by this, ironically mostly people born right after the war and therefore don't remember it. I believe offending others will only damage the hobby, you just have to be a bit humb...

Re: Best Tunic on the mart.. on a budget..
From what I can seen from the pictures fra Militaria-Net.co.uk their M36 is from gavin. http://militaria-net.co.uk/oscommerce/c ... p-674.html
I have also received many packages from him without having to pay import tax. He simply ships all his items as $20 gifts.

Re: Best Tunic on the mart.. on a budget..
Okay.. I must say Gavins is still the one I would buy. I have compared them with most of the other cheap repros and as far as the craftsmanship I have not found it to worse then the others. There has been a rumour about a new and improved line of Tunics.

I needed some parts .. It was way to short and a really bad fit. Then I used the pockets to make a pattern for the pockets for my M41.

You get the same result by combining a east German bottom half and a BGS top half.

Re: Can cliques be damaging to the continuation of the forum
I would like to elaborate on my previous post. It was written in frustration over the long line of rants that has troubled this forum for last month. I don't know what started it and I don't really care, all I can see is this vicious circle of bad temper and personal grudge ruining this otherwise ex...
