Hehe.. Well the wool is different on the late models, thinner and not very tightly woven. I my opinion the late war models could be better, not because of the cut but the wool is simply to fluffy and lose. The new Gavin tunic just got a rave review from Rollin at ATF on their Facebook page. He has a good idea of what goes into a good replica with all the time he spent on his texted stuff.
