Re: Show us you!

Jackboots and 44dot, just dont quite go together........................... Yes they do! In 1944 there was a greater number of low boots then before, but jackboots were not out of stock. ;) Not out of stock is correct, front line usage by combat units, well thats a different story isnt it. I think ...

Re: accident

I just wonder how you would run in hobnailed boots on a concrete road, when your best mate has just put a whole the size of your fist in his under leg. Is that what happened, did he received a hole the size of a fist in his underleg? The aritical tells you absolutly nothing at all other than "...

Re: MG belts

Is there any difference betwwen WW2 & Bundy MG 42/ MG 3 belts, bsides one is designed for 7.92 & one for 7.62, though 7.62 does fit in wartime belts. Depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to hang one round your neck full of deact rounds, then the unusual tab end will give it a...

Re: why front venting mp40s are bad

Sorry, should of called it "why idiots with mp40s are bad" Heres an over view of what really happened for all the blank firing " experts' to digest. The MGC in the clip was using an original MGC front barrel nut which broke under the pressure for firing. UK front venting MGC's becaus...

Re: German Weapon Re-Bluing

That sounds like a pretty good idea, but I am rather particular on the color match. How close could you get it to an original?
What shade is the correct colour match then?

Re: German Weapon Re-Bluing

you may find when you strip the paint off its still blued. I stripped it off (it was rather easy actually) and there was practically no bluing left. Only place where I could find more than 30% of the bluing was where the frog latched on (the part that sticks out on the scabbard). I think it was thi...
